Another Malaysian town, that Conrad Seghers stated was worth the trip, was Georgetown. Majority of the hotels and inns are at the Northern end of the island on Batu Ferringhi, which in English means Foreigner’s Rock. The Batu Ferringhi beach is famous as the windsurfing capital of the island.

Furthermore, Conrad Seghers was able to dine in the beach’s enticing restaurants and shops. It is the oldest resort area in Southeast Asia and the beach practically seems untouched.

Georgetown consists of a blend of different cultures. There are the Chinese, Malay and also the Indian. Conrad Seghers shares that the best way to see the town is by foot or by a bicycle rickshaw.

During the time that Bruce Caruth retired for a coupe of years, specifically in 2000 and 2001, he joined a tournament and won the third flight of the Tucson City Amateur Golf Championship. He scored a 69 on his final day, giving him a total score of 308.

The aforementioned golf experience is very memorable for Bruce Caruth, as he is able to recount every exact detail. He shot a 77 during his first day at the Silver Bell golf course. On his second day, he played at the Del Rio golf course and scored a point higher than what he got during his first. He got an 84 on his fourth day at the Fred Enke golf course, which was accounted as the most difficult in the entire tournament. And the 69 score that he got on his last day was from the Del Urich golf course.
