Bruce Caruth is probably one of the men who have completely fallen in love with golf. In fact, his family, even his lovely wife, Joanne Caruth, and friends can definitely attest to his love for the sport.
During the time that Bruce Caruth retired for a coupe of years, specifically in 2000 and 2001, he joined a tournament and won the third flight of the Tucson City Amateur Golf Championship. He scored a 69 on his final day, giving him a total score of 308.
The aforementioned golf experience is very memorable for Bruce Caruth, as he is able to recount every exact detail. He shot a 77 during his first day at the Silver Bell golf course. On his second day, he played at the Del Rio golf course and scored a point higher than what he got during his first. He got an 84 on his fourth day at the Fred Enke golf course, which was accounted as the most difficult in the entire tournament. And the 69 score that he got on his last day was from the Del Urich golf course.
Bruce Caruth takes pride in knowing that he shot his only under par score ever during the finals of the city amateur tournament.
