Marty Carrascosa: On Being an Adrenaline Junkie

February 3rd, 2010

Marty Carrascosa enjoys the high of adrenaline-pumping activities. Understanding the importance of keeping his body healthy, he does so because it improves stamina, strengthens and tones the body, enhances flexibility, controls weight, prevents diseases, and generally improves a person’s quality of life.

Though he can be a couch potato as much as the next person, Marty Carrascosa is more into physical activities than non-physical ones. Break dancing and skate boarding were the latest fads while he was growing up on a farm owned by his parents in Texas and he enjoyed both with much gusto. When he moved to Hollywood, California, he used his passion for fitness to tide him over and worked as a National Academy of Sports Medicine-certified fitness trainer.

Martial arts is also an activity which Marty Carrascosa likes to engage in. He is into “MMA,” or mixed martial arts style of fighting, a full contact combat sport that combines fighting techniques from various martial arts non-traditions and traditions. His preferred outdoor activities are off-roading, biking, skydiving and bungee jumping.

Marty Carrascosa earned his bachelor’s degree in Business, minor in Nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University located in Nacogdoches, Texas. He moved to Hollywood, California in 2000, and there immersed himself in the Hollywood scene working various jobs in film until he formed DirtyBird Entertainment, LLC. He left Hollywood and is now a consultant on the formation of limited liability companies.
